Academic Dismissal
Students who do not maintain academic progress and matriculation status in their respective programs, and whose CGPA cannot successfully reach a 3.0 before the completion of their program, risk academic dismissal. The Office of Graduate Studies will continuously monitor and review the student’s academic performance regularly with program directors, department chairs, and academic deans. Students who fail to maintain a cumulative GPA of “B” (3.00) or higher in graduate work may not be permitted to continue in a graduate program and will be notified of pending dismissal by the academic dean of their respective school or college after consultation with the program coordinator or department chair. Should a student wish to appeal this decision, refer to the Academic Grievance/Appeal Procedure herein.
