STEM Certificate
The NJCU STEM Certificate Program for K-12 Educators has now been added to the College of Education's award-winning Educational Technology program.
The STEM Certificate is a rigorous, online, four-course, blended learning program that provides K-12 educators in all disciplines including the arts and humanities, school leaders and librarians, with both the foundational STEM pedagogy, and the hands-on experience to be successful integrating STEM in their classrooms and schools.
The Certificate is delivered as a fully online, facilitated program with a virtual lab experience. The four courses are offered multiple times each year and may be taken individually or completed in one semester. A minimum GPA of 2.75 is required for admission.
Students will have the option to complete the STEM Certificate for graduate credit or as noncredit through the Division of Professional Education and Lifelong Learning. Students who opt to register for courses for graduate credit will be offered the opportunity for those classes, 12 credits, to be applied toward the 36-credit Master of Arts degree in Educational Technology or a Master of Arts degree in Educational Technology with School Library Media Specialist certification.
If you are already enrolled in either MA program and would like to earn the STEM Certificate, please contact your advisor. You do not have to be enrolled in the STEM Certificate program to enroll in these classes. All Ed Tech students may register for these classes.
