Reasonable Accommodation Grievance Procedure for Students with Disabilities

NJCU is dedicated to providing reasonable accommodations and academic adjustments to ensure that qualified individuals can fully participate in programs, activities, and employment.

Under Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (“Section 504”), NJCU is required to:

  1. Modify academic requirements unless they are essential to the instruction or related licensing requirements.
  2. Ensure course examinations are fully accessible to students.
  3. Take steps to prevent exclusion or discrimination of qualified students due to the absence of educational auxiliary aids.
  4. Ensure no rules limit the participation of students with disabilities in any educational program or activity.
