All students at New Jersey City University must complete a major program in order to earn a degree. This catalog and the major department should be consulted for up-to-date information regarding the requirements of and course offerings for the student’s major.

Students must apply for admission to a major program at the University Advisement Center or at the major program department. Once accepted to the major, the student is assigned a faculty advisor within the major department. The faculty advisor works with the student to determine a semester-by-semester plan for completion of the student’s academic program.
