Associate in Applied Science Degree

Programs leading to the Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree are generally classified as terminal, vocational programs. The transcripts of students transferring to New Jersey City University with A.A.S. degrees from accredited two-year and four-year colleges are evaluated on a course-by-course basis, with transfer-credit awarded to either direct equivalent courses or elective courses where applicable. New Jersey City University does not accept transfer credits for vocational type courses for subjects that they do not offer. A maximum of 60 credits may be applied to New Jersey City University degree requirements, assuming a minimum grade of “C” for all such accepted credits. Graduates of A.A.S. degree programs at regionally accredited two-year and four-year colleges must complete New Jersey City University’s General Education Program, but will be awarded a waiver of the Civic Engagement and Capstone General Education Requirements as of Fall 2024’s Reformed General Education Program.
